In the Gospel of today, it seems that one of the two sons did the right thing, but it wasn’t the one who said “I’ll go”, but rather it was the other son. Our pastor had a different approach to the lesson today. He talked about how we never give each other a chance to change. He talked about how it is once you know something about someone, they will never change: he lost everything by gambling, (he will always be a looser), or he drank like a fish in college (he will always be a drunk), and I am sure you can think of many other examples. But Jesus loves us for who we ARE, not who we were, and even in our most weakest moment, He still loved us. Are we the only ones who have been and always will be perfect???
