December 11 Isaiah 41:13-20

Reflection by Sister Barbara Therese Marie Martis, cssf

For I am the Lord, your God … Fear not, I will help you.  (Is 41:13)

We are not alone on our journey; the Lord is with us, as he was with Moses and John the Baptist.  We are the reed, lowing in the wind; the Lord is holding us up.  All we need to do is follow in his footsteps.  We need not fear, he will not leave us.

If we gaze upon the Lord we will find him walking beside us, gently leading, and sometimes prodding us along the way.  We may not know his plans, and we may sway along the way; but if we cling to him, we will find the answer in the stillness of the wind.  He will be our strength.
