Christmas Day

Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord!
Announce his salvation day after day.  Tell his glory among the nations.
Reflection y Sister Mary Antonelle Chunka, cssf

Jesus, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings … Jesus, the Word of the Father … Jesus the Light of the world … Jesus the giver of Life.  This awesome God, Jesus takes onthe flesh of the humble virgin Mary and reveals to us the enduring love of the Father.

The shepherds came, saw and understood.  The they went for th praising and florifying God and astonishing all who heard their report.

We have all been called to make God known, loved and glorified in all and by all.  Through of baptism, we have been called to be totally available to to show concern for the salvation of all people.

How will we announce his salvation day after day?  To whom will we share the Christmas story of a Divine Child who came to dwell among us?

How will I keep the good news of this great joy of Christmas alive in my life?

But is the Catholic faith really concerned about other people’s salvation, Sister Antonelle? Considering that I considered you to be one of the nicest nuns at Pope John XXIII High School in Sparta, NJ, I never witnessed genuine concern for other’s salvation by even one individual in the whole school. I missed out on a lot, Sister, more than 50 years ago.
